I saw this giant of a cat near a Cafe Coffee Day outlet in Nagpur. He wasn't at all shy and wary, as cats usually are, and allowed me to get quite close. Of course, looking at his size, he didn't need to worry!

Love that fur coat... Reminds me of Snowbell, the cat from the movie Stuart Little.

I adore cats and dogs!

Pulse of Infospectrum

Infospectrum, the company I work for as a technical writer, publishes a monthly newsletter called Pulse. I was lucky to be associated with the newsletter team as an editor for three years. We had regular brain-storming sessions at various happening places in Nagpur, during which we discussed the upcoming edition.

At Gateway of India... It was erected to commemorate the arrival of King of Britain to India.

Ironically, ever since I read "Freedom at Midnight", this structure reminds me of the departure of the last British troops from India.

Onward Oslo...

In 2007, I got an opportunity to work in Oslo, Norway on a documentation project. It constituted a number of firsts for me... my first onsite job, first non-software project, first air travel, and.... first encounter with snow. Not surprisingly, it was all quite fun!

Kalyan darwaaja, Sinhgad fort - Pune

The heavy rains yesterday in Nagpur reminded me of a monsoon trek 10 years ago:

Walking along a rustic, jungle path up to the historic "Kalyan darwaaja" of the Sinhgad fort near Pune.

It was a tiring, uphill climb but the rain drizzle and the lush green cover made it a much more fulfilling experience rather than travelling there using the tar road.

नक्षत्रांचे देणे!

२५ नोव्हेंबर २००५ रोजी पुणे येथील "नक्षत्र" सोसायटीमधील आमच्या फ्लॅटची वास्तु-शांती झाली. गोव्याबाहेरील पहिलाच कार्यक्रम असल्याने सर्व तयारी होईल की नाही याचं टेन्शन होतं पण कार्यक्रम छान झाला. गोवा, सावंतवाडी, कोल्हापुर, मुंबई, ठाणे, नाशिक, सोलापुर व पुणे येथून पाहुणे मंडळी आली होती. जमलेल्या सर्व बाल-गोपाळ मंडळींचा एक फोटो...
