Earthen diyas lit up the veranda.. More than the dazzling series of electric lights, it is more pleasing to see a row of these diyas burning steadily
Huge raangoLi drawn on the floor of Reception hall of our office
To add to the festive mood, our project client got some delicious goodies... an assortment of chocolates wrapped in a beautiful package!
Navratri in Goa

Posing with Weapons!
Mahalaxmi

Sonegaon and Futala lakes
Like all major cities, Nagpur too has a number of lakes in and around the city. Apart from providing the much-needed drinking water to the residents, the lakes also serve as important meeting points for all kinds of people, from love-birds and newsly married couples to senior citizens out for some fresh air.
Here are some views of Sonegaon and Futala lakes in the midst of monsoon...

Welcome to Snapshots!
As they say, a picture speaks a thousand words. Looking at an old photo brings back thoughts and memories that you could not have possibly captured in pages of diaries.
For quite some time now, I have been trying to use Flickr to create a timeline based on photos. However, the format did not seem particularly appropriate… and hence, this photo-blog.
The old photos are scanned versions of the printed copies (clicked using the film-based cameras); and many of the new ones are clicked using a cellphone. The photos posted here do not claim to have any artistic value or aesthetic appeal. They are merely a way of documenting the life and times of an ordinary person over the years.
As the title suggests, the blog will be bilingual; some of the the posts will be in English,
The entries prior to today have been backdated to keep the photos and the related years in sync.

Mango Delight!

Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam's Speech
In January 2010, we got a never-dreamt-before opportunity to attend a speech of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, the honurable ex-president of India, and popularly known as Missile Man of India.
The speech was organised by SRKNEC College as a part of their Technovision festival; and my sister-in-law who studies there managed to get us VIP Pass. It was a wonderfil experience to listen to this great son of soil.
You can read a detailed blog-post here: "Salaam... Dr Kalam!"
